Structure ISO9001: 2008

ISO 9001: 2008 is divided into a number of chapters. Each chapter is divided into a number of sections and subsections.

4 - Quality Management System

Your quality management system must contain a number of elements. This site describes the requirements for the quality manual, documents and records, etc.
Mention in your quality manual (4.2.2) which sections of Chapter 7 you exclude. If they cannot be applied, provide a justification for exclusion.

5 - Management Responsibility

Top management must play an active role in developing and implementing the quality management system. The standard requires some issues to be completed by top management.

6 – Resource Management

You must make sufficient resources available to allow the quality management system to function. This includes work environment, people, training, equipment, etc.

7 – Product Realization

You need to control the processes from quotation, to order receipt, development,  assembly and delivery to the customer including service and support.

8 – Measurement, analysis and improvement

You must be sure that you only deliver good products to your customer. The measuring data that is used to monitor these processes should be used to improve your quality management system. You should prevent the occurrence of nonconformities and use nonconformities to prevent recurrence.
